Description
- Are you skilled in procurement and keen on supporting operational efficiency? A fast-rising engineering firm in Lagos is looking for a Procurement Officer to manage the procurement process, from sourcing suppliers to negotiating contracts.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate potential suppliers that meet quality, cost, and reliability standards.
- Secure favorable terms with suppliers, draft and review procurement documents.
- Maintain strong relationships with suppliers through regular communication and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to meet procurement needs and implement strategies.
- Ensure compliance with budget and procurement policies, and track key metrics.
- Stay informed on industry trends and best practices to enhance procurement processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Proven experience in procurement or a similar role.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices and relevant regulations.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
