Position Description
  • Provide guidance on all process safety standards, guidelines & codes in projects and operations (ASME, ASTM, BSI etc.)
  • Review all new project contractors’ relevant HSE documents e.g. HSE-MS; project HSE plans, JHA, Risk assessment, safe work method statement etc.
  • Facilitate and participate in technical process safety studies e.g. FEED Reviews, HAZOP, HAZIDS, SIL, LOPA, Design EER, Design safety case studies etc
  • Maintain a database of all HSE technical safety studies
  • Develop and maintain inspection plans for high risk critical equipment and medium risk in liaison with process owners.
  • Ensure Process safety inspections on equipment (e.g. Flanges & valve for leakage, sump tank to prevent overfill) etc.
  • Ensure availability of process information system e.g. inventory of process fluids ( liquid & gases) ; MSDS; Up-to-date PFDs & PIDs etc
  • Liaise with process owners to assure mechanical integrity of process equipment & machineries
  • Assure operational process safety during contractors’ work e g. Mechanical isolation and depressurization before work execution (liaison with maintenance or production) Hot work; Confined space; PTW ; Excavation; LOTO
  • Review design basis of process facility emergency response systems
  • Liaise with process owners and facilitate the implementation of in-house awareness trainings on PSM for staff and contractors.
  • Ensure appropriate installation of safety signs and labeling/ colour coding of process equipment and pipes Corrosion inspections of process pipes and equipment
  • Follow up on Management of change (MOC) on process plants/ equipment
Position Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree (minimum of second class lower division) or equivalent in science or environmental management disciplines.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry with relevant professional membership of waste/ environmental management institutes.
