Position Description
  • Develop and implement Waste Management plan for company
  • Develop and implement guideline for restoration and remediated of spill impacted sites.
  • Facilitate effective restoration and remediation of operational impacted site in line with regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate/ conduct air quality studies & surveys for all operational sites
  • Conduct waste management audits/inspections of company facilities and resources, develop inspection reports with recommendations and ensure close out of action items.
  • Inspect management service providers facilities to ensure regulatory compliance (prior to engagement and unscheduled inspections during service delivery)
  • Liaise with relevant internal department and develop strategy for produced water management and disposal and ensure implementation.
  • Develop plans and ensure Remediation and Restoration of Impacted sites
  • Facilitate and secure regulatory waste discharge permits for company and contractors
  • Conduct and maintain a database of point sources of emissions
  • Develop and implement waste segregation and 4Rs principles of waste management in company
  • Facilitate and Implement a green culture in company
  • Liaison with all internal relevant departments and develop/ implement standard waste contractors’ contractual process evaluation to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure effective tracking of all wastes generated by the company’s operations.
  • Collation & submission of Waste Consignment notes (WCNs) to DPR at the end of well drilling operation.
  • Develop and implement waste pit closure plan/procedure.
  • Facilitate and submit quarterly waste management performance report for operations.
  • Facilitate and develop project decommissioning plan in line with regulatory requirements.
Position Requirements
  • A Bachelor’s degree (minimum of second class lower division) or equivalent in science or environmental management disciplines.
  • Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry with relevant professional membership of waste/ environmental management institutes.
