Job Description
  • Design land acquisition and compensation procedure
  • Co-ordinate all land acquisition processes which include verification of title documents, arranging survey and mapping of the land and associated field work, and necessary
  • Documentations (negotiations with  land owners and payment of agreed rates).
  • Collaborate with Legal Dept to produce authentic legal documents for signing by all parties, and registration of land acquisition documents with appropriate Government bodies.
  • Co-ordinate the verification of all community claims on any damages arising from operations and recommend appropriate compensations.
  • Co-ordinate verification and timely payment of all statutory rents such as land rentals, leases, tenement rates ground rents.
  • Study industry practice and set up a special system for managing land acquisition and compensation issues to be known as Lands Acquisition and Compensations Management System ( LACS).
  • Benchmark with industry practice and propose APDNL’s compensation rates and procedure.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree (Minimum of Second Class Lower Division) or its equivalent in social science disciplines.  Minimum of 10 years relevant experience in oil and gas industry and experience with development agencies or donor organisations will be an advantage.
