Responsibilities:
  • Carry-out operational duties while drilling.  Specifically, advise on drilling departure from plans and propose corrective actions, provide support on casing and coring points as well as TD decision and on logging, sampling and perforation programs definition.
  • Build-up and maintain integrity of the exhaustive and consistent well database under construction by the Corporate Datacentre. Specific responsibility is for data such as well name, surface location, KB, kick-off points, deviation survey, mud logs, LWD logs, WL logs and core data.
  • Support Geophysicists, Petrophysicists, Reservoir Engineers and Production Technologists in the building-up and maintenance of the integrity of the above-mentioned database (e.g. seismic surveys, processed volumes, LWD logs, WL logs, core data, RFT data, fluid samples, casing and completion data).
  • Prepare well data sheets and authorisations to drill including recommendation for coring, logging and well test program.  Responsible for obtaining approval for same through interfacing with the authorities.
  • Prepare field development plans.  Responsible for obtaining approval for same through interfacing with the authorities.
  • Update static and dynamic reservoir models with latest well results as support for reservoir performance monitoring and management.
  • Participate in peer review of modelling activities.
  • Perform all the above with guidance and approval of the Corporate Centre for alignment with long-term development planning and reserves reporting.
 
Requirements
  • A Bachelor’sdegree (Second Class, Lower Division) or its equivalent in Petroleum Engineering, Geology or other Geoscience.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Production Geology & Geo-modelling
  • Capable of working without supervision and able to take initiative
