Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Job Description

• Assist the classroom teacher in delivering lessons and managing classroom activities.
• Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who may need extra help with their learning.
• Help prepare and organize classroom materials and resources for lessons and activities.
• Supervise students during lessons, recess, and other school activities to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
• Assist with the assessment and recording of student progress, and provide feedback to the teacher.
• Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
• Support students with special educational needs, ensuring they have the resources and assistance needed to succeed.
• Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development opportunities as required.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of an SSCE / WAEC or equivalent; additional training or certification in education is a plus.
• Previous experience working with children, preferably in an educational setting.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in supporting children's learning and development.
• Basic understanding of classroom management techniques and child development.
