We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Program Lead

Location: Anambra
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • The role will be responsible for overseeing the development implementation and evaluation of the foundation’s programs.
  • These programs focus on improving literacy, nutrition and healthcare in eastern Nigeria with particular emphasis on the rural areas.
  • The program Lead will ensure that all initiatives align with the Foundation’s mission to bring marginalized communities into mainstream society and facilitate community transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Design, plan and oversee the implementation of educational, healthcare and nutrition programs.
  • Develop detailed projects plans, including timelines, budgets and resources allocation.
  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess program effectiveness.
  • Prepare regular reports on program progress and impact.
  • Utilize data to make informed decisions and improve program delivery.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs Community leaders and donors.
  • Represent the Foundation at meetings, conferences and other events.
  • Communicate program objectives and achievements to stakeholders.
  • Lead Monitor and Manage program staff.
  • Foster collaboration and high-performance team environment.
  • Conduct regular team meetings to ensure alignment and address any challenges.
  • Oversee allocation and utilization of resources, including financial, human and material resources.
  • Ensure Compliance with budgetary constraints and donor requirements.
  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities to support program initiatives.
  • Develop and implement strategies for effective community engagement.
  • Advocate for needs and rights of marginalized communities.
  • Organise and participate in community outreach activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in social science, public health, development studies or any related field.
  • Minimum Seven (7) years cognate experience in program management preferably in the non-profit sector.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale development projects.
  • Professional Certification in project management.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation of development programs.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ethical standards, high level of integrity, strong interpersonal communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong background in stakeholder engagement and community development.
  • Experience in fundraising and resource mobilization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make evidence-based decisions.

Note:

  • Candidate Must be able to speak and understand the language of Eastern Nigeria.
