We are recruiting to fill the position of:
Job Title: Executive Assistant to the Deputy Managing Director/Chief Operating Officer (DMD/COO)
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- Reporting directly to the Deputy Managing Director/Chief Operating Officer, the successful candidate will provide administrative support and be responsible for the Secretarial and office management duties in the DMD/COO's Office.
Duties/Job Details
The duties shall comprise amongst others:
- Managing the principal's electronic diary and booking meetings,
- Organizing travel and preparing travel itineraries.
- Planning. organizing and managing events.
- Conduct research. collect and analyses data to prepare reports and documents
- Preparing presentations, writing reports. executive summaries and newsletters. preparation of various correspondence and documents relating to Board meetings.
- Annual General Meetings. and Management Consultative Committee Meetings (MCC)
- Managing and reviewing filing and office systems,
- Managing an Office Assistant
- Attend meetings and events when required to do so
- Managing the budget for the office of the DMO/COO.
- Any other duty that may be assigned by Management.
Main Competencies Required for this Position:
- In-depth secretariat skills, practices and laws as applicable;
- Excellent oral and written communication, Problem Solving, including Negotiation and Presentation skills;
- Good supervisory skills and Capacity for taking initiatives and decision;
- Disciplined, Reliable, with very high Integrity and good sense of responsibility;
- Excellent IT skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) are required;
- Flexibility, Adaptability, Good interpersonal skills, Ability to multitask, Organizational skills, Communication skills.
Qualifications and Professional Experience
Applicants shall be holders of:
- First degree/HND (Licence toutes disciplines) OR Any intermediate post-secondary school education (inter-B.Sc, ND, NCE.Baccalaureate etc)
- Plus 3 years qualitative relevant work experience (2 of which should be in similar position as executive Assistant or PA to a senior management executive).
- Applicants must also be:
- Fluent in English language
- Working knowledge of French will be an added advantage.
Salary and Benefits
The successful candidate shall have the following benefits:
- Competitive Basic Salary on the Corporation's Grade Level SS3
- Variable pay (Annual Performance Bonus)
- Joint contribution to the Provident Fund (7% of the basic salary paid by staff and 14% by the employer)
