Job Title: IT Officer

Job Description

• Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible and accountable for the smooth running of the company’s computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs and timelines.
• You will perform system administrative duties associated with corporate software and hardware, including configuration and maintenance of servers and databases. You will manage the company’s website.

Responsibilities

• Manage information technology and computer systems
• Plan, organise, control and evaluate IT and electronic data operations
• Design, develop, implement and coordinate systems, policies and procedures
• Ensure security of data, network access and backup systems
• Manage and administer the company’s website.
• Liaise with software suppliers regarding optimal operation, maintenance and configuration of corporate software systems.
• Develop and maintain test plans for business system upgrades and new implementations.
• Ensure continuously available, high performing, cost efficient and up to date corporate software systems.
• Exercise proper change management processes when making changes to business systems as per IT Department protocol.
• Monitor and maintain user access and security to assigned business systems.
• Develop and maintain user documentation and manuals where required and deliver trainings in corporate software systems
• Document and update all problem solving techniques in the central IT
• Documentation Database for use in Disaster Recovery and/or by other staff in the resolution of problems.
• Act in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to organisational policy
• Preserve assets, information security and control structures

Qualifications

• B.Sc./HND
• 2 years Relevant Experience
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation

Skills/Competencies:

• Creative and organized
• Capable of scheduling people's time and also able to juggle multiple projects at the same time.
