Description
- The ETS’s three main roles are the delivery of military education, the design of military training, and developing the cultural and linguistic requirements of the Army.
- Officers teach Soldiers in the UK as well as educating troops from allied forces. They ensure the development of Soldiers throughout their career and ensure the British Army’s reputation for training remains world-leading.
- Officers and Soldiers of the AGC offer support to The Army in many forms, from training and administration, to personnel support to policing.
- The ETS is a branch of the Adjutant General’s Corps, also containing the SPS, RMP, MPS, ALS and MPGS. Each Branch of the Corps is supported by the others but each has its own regimental role, traditions and ethos.

Entry Requirements
Age:
- From 21 years & 0 months to 28 years & 11 months
Qualifications:
- 72 UCAS Points from at least two A-level, or Scottish Higher, passes.
- 35 ALIS points at GCSE (34 for SCEs) from seven GCSE/SCE subjects (including Grade C/4, Scottish National C, in English, Maths and a science or a foreign language).
- A Bachelor’s Degree with Honours in any subject.
Basic physical fitness assessment:
- Mid Thigh Pull 76kg
- Medicine Ball Throw 3.1m
- MSFT (beep test) level 8.07.
Pay & Benefits
- You'll earn £33,183 during your year of training at the Royal Military Academy, Sandhurst, before commissioning and becoming a Second Lieutenant, on £39,671 a year.
