Description

  • Plus, you get to join our amazing team in the Army Medical Services (AMS). You’ll work under the expert guidance of doctors in medical centres, or in the difficult working conditions of frontline bases.
  • The Royal Army Medical Corps (RAMC) is responsible for maintaining the health of servicemen and women. The Corps is represented wherever British Soldiers are deployed, providing medical support to operations, exercises and Adventurous Training expeditions all over the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Give first aid on the battlefield
  • Provide medical training to the Army
  • Supply medical support on all kinds of operations and exercises
  • Help with medical evacuations in hostile conditions
  • Provide health education to the Army

Entry Requirements
Age:

  • From 16 years & 6 months to 35 years & 6 months

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of GCSE Grade A* - C/9-4, or Scottish National 5 grade A-C, in at least English Language and Maths.

Basic physical fitness assessment:

  • Mid Thigh Pull 50kg
  • Medicine Ball Throw 2.7m
  • MSFT (beep test) level 6.6 (5.8 for Reserve candidates)

Pay & Benefits

  • You'll earn £25,200 a year from the start of your training, which will go up as you progress throughout your career.
