We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Clinical Services Associate - Pediatrics, Adolescents & PMTCT

Location: Ifako, Lagos
Grant duration: Subject to availability of funds and exceptional grant performance

Duties and Responsibilities

  • The incumbent will provide technical support to supported facilities in establishing protocols for HIV/AIDS treatment and wrap-around health services that are consistent with national guidelines leveraging on experience in adolescent and young people care, pediatrics treatment and PMTCT.
  • He/She will possess demonstrable skills to provide technical support for multidisciplinary HIV/AIDS care and treatment, working with organizational clinicians and health facility-based site teams to implement care and treatment services for service beneficiaries under purview.
  • The job holder will build the capacity of facility personnel to better implement their role in the technical planning, management and evaluation of clinical issues related to a robust and functional adolescent program.
  • Develop and implement a pediatrics transition program from infected children through adolescence to adult to improve pediatrics retention, positive adjustment and better quality of life.
  • Review of program data to optimize HIV case finding in adolescent and young women and ensure successful linkage to ART and PMTCT services.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Medicine, Public health or related field
  • 3 years’ post NYSC experience in developing country health care programs or program support function will be an added benefit.
  • Excellent grasp of emerging clinical issues and current literature for accelerating progress in Pediatrics and adolescent implementation.
  • Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving skills including the ability to foresee problems and initiate appropriate action.
  • Computer Literacy in Microsoft office applications specifically in outlook, word and PowerPoint, excel and virtual conferencing software.
  • Analytical Thinking & Conceptualization
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and make reasoned judgments in a timely fashion.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, with strong presentation skills.
