Job Title: Safety Trainer

Job Description

  • We are seeking a diligent and proactive Safety Trainer with 1-3 years of experience to join our team.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for developing mine safety training documents, collecting and archiving internal documents in the Safety, Health and Environment department, and organizing regular safety training sessions for local employees.
  • This role is critical in ensuring a safe working environment and promoting a strong safety culture within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Development of Training Materials: Create, update, and maintain comprehensive safety training documents tailored to the specific needs of the mining operations.
  • Training Delivery: Organize and conduct regular safety training sessions for local employees, ensuring that all personnel are well-versed in safety protocols and procedures.
  • Document Management: Collect, organize, and archive all internal safety documents, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Compliance Monitoring: Assist in monitoring the adherence to safety regulations and procedures, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
  • Incident Reporting: Support the SHE department in reporting and documenting any safety incidents or near misses, contributing to the ongoing improvement of safety measures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest safety trends and regulations in the mining industry and incorporate them into training programs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in safety training or a related role, preferably in the mining industry.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the mining sector.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • The preferred candidate should be between the age of 22-30 years.

Salary
N100,000 / month.

Note: We offer a competitive bonus based on performance.
