Job Title: Junior Corporate Finance Analyst

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Description 

• Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled Junior Corporate Finance Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, a solid understanding of financial analysis and modeling, and a strong analytical mindset.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior analysts in conducting financial analysis and due diligence on potential M&A transactions, capital raising activities, and other corporate finance projects.
• Prepare detailed financial models, including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis (CCA), and precedent transaction analysis (PTA), to support decision-making processes.
• Conduct industry research and gather market data to support strategic recommendations and investment proposals.
• Assist in the preparation of pitch decks, information memorandums, and other presentation materials for client meetings and investor presentations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including legal, accounting, and operations, to gather relevant information and ensure accuracy in financial reporting and analysis.
• Support the development and implementation of financial strategies and initiatives to optimize business performance and drive growth.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, identify key trends and insights, and provide actionable recommendations to senior management.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and regulatory changes affecting the corporate finance landscape in Nigeria and globally.
• Assist in ad-hoc projects and assignments as required by senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field from a reputable institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in corporate finance, investment banking, financial advisory, or related fields.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial concepts in a clear and concise manner.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and other financial analysis tools/software.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
• Proactive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
• Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CFA, ACCA, CPA) or progress toward certification would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of the Nigerian financial markets, regulatory environment, and business landscape preferred

Salary
N200,000 - N250,000 monthly.
