Our product portfolio includes steel billets, rebars, sections, wires, fasteners as well as aluminum, copper and lead ingots and more.We are a fully integrated scrap-based manufacturing unit located in Asaba, Delta State.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Store Head

Location: Asaba, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

ResponsibilitiesInventory Management:

  • Raw Materials: Oversee the inventory of raw materials, including steel billets, scrap metal, and other inputs required for production.
  • Finished Products: Manage the inventory of finished steel products, such as beams, plates, and coils.
  • Stock Control: Monitor stock levels to ensure optimal inventory levels, avoiding both excess stock and shortages.
  • Inventory Records: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and returns.

Supply Chain Coordination:

  • Procurement: Coordinate with procurement teams to order materials as needed, ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.
  • Supplier Relations: Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with delivery schedules.
  • Logistics: Oversee the logistics of incoming and outgoing materials, including transportation and warehousing.

Store Operations:

  • Storage: Ensure proper storage of materials and products to prevent damage and ensure easy accessibility.
  • Organization: Maintain an organized and efficient storage area, including proper labeling and categorization of materials.
  • Safety: Implement and enforce safety procedures to protect staff and materials, adhering to industry regulations and standards.

Staff Management:

  • Team Supervision: Supervise store staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluation.
  • Work Allocation: Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members to ensure smooth operations.
  • Training: Provide ongoing training to staff on handling materials, safety protocols, and inventory management.

Financial Management:

  • Budgeting: Develop and manage the store budget, including expenses related to inventory, storage, and staff.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control costs related to inventory and store operations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial reports related to inventory and store performance.

Compliance and Procedures:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including safety standards and environmental regulations.
  • Quality Control: Implement quality control measures to ensure materials meet required standards and specifications.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation related to inventory transactions, supplier agreements, and compliance records.

Customer and Internal Coordination:

  • Order Fulfillment: Coordinate with the production and sales teams to ensure timely fulfillment of orders.
  • Customer Service: Address any issues or inquiries related to inventory or order fulfillment from internal departments or external customers.
  • Internal Communication: Communicate effectively with other departments, such as production and logistics, to ensure alignment and smooth operations.

Technology and Systems Management:

  • System Usage: Utilize inventory management systems and software for tracking and reporting.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze inventory data to identify trends, forecast needs, and make informed decisions.

Strategic Planning:

  • Process Improvement: Develop and implement strategies for improving store operations and inventory management.
  • Demand Planning: Forecast future inventory needs based on production schedules, market trends, and sales forecasts.
