Job Overview

• We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Design Associate to join our dynamic team.
• The Design Associate will support our design and production teams while gaining hands-on experience in custom cabinetry design and CNC router machine operations.
• This entry-level position is perfect for recent graduates or individuals seeking to start their careers in interior design or cabinet making.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist lead designers in creating custom cabinet designs, including layout planning, material selection, and detailing.
• Learn to prepare and update design drawings, renderings, and presentations using design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools.
• Participate in client consultations to understand requirements, preferences, and budget constraints, ensuring designs meet their expectations.
• Accompany designers on site visits to take measurements and assess installation requirements.
• Support production teams by ensuring design specifications are accurately communicated and implemented.
• Learn to program and operate CNC router machines, understanding their role in the production process.
• Learn to carry out basic preventive maintenance of the CNC machine to ensure it is in good operational status.
• Help maintain an organized library of design materials, samples, and resources.
• Assist in preparing proposals, quotations, and project documentation.
• Stay updated with industry trends, materials, and best practices through training and research.

Qualifications

• Recent graduate or current student pursuing a degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Basic knowledge of design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar.
• Strong visual, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in design, cabinetry, and CNC router operations.
• Basic understanding of cabinet construction and installation processes is a plus but not required.
• Prior experience through internships or projects in cabinetry, woodworking, or interior design is advantageous but not essential.
