The Federal University of Kashere in Gombe State was established by the Federal Government of Nigeria in 2011 as a conventional University. The University is Information and Communication Technology (ICT) driven and currently has six (6) faculties, two (2) schools, an institute, a centre, 32 academic departments and 98 academic programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Job Decription
- The Registrar is the Chief Administrative Officer and a Principal Officer in the University.
- He/she is responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the discharge of his/her responsibilities.
- The candidate must have a good understanding of the vision and mission of the University.
- He/She shall have personal integrity, the ability to provide good leadership and be able to command respect and loyalty of staff of the University.
- By virtue of his office, he/she shall be the Secretary to Council, Senate, Congregation, Convocation and other Statutory Committees.
- He/she is responsible for keeping all records of the University and may be assigned other duties from time to time by the Vice-Chancellor.
Qualifications and Experience
- Candidates should possess at least a Second Class Honours (Lower Division) Degree in a relevant field from a recognized University.
- Possession of a higher degree(s) or postgraduate professional qualifications in appropriate field is an added advantage.
- Candidates must have had at least fifteen (15) years post qualification cognate experience, ten (10) of which should be relevant to University administration.
- Candidates must have served for at least five (5) years as Deputy Registrar in a University.
- Proficiency in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with relevant management packages is also required.
Age:
- Candidates should not be older than 60 years by November, 2024 or at the time of taking up the appointment.
Health:
- Candidates must be of good health to be able to endure the rigours of the duties of Registrar and must present a certificate of fitness if shortlisted for the interview.
Duration of the Appointment:
- The successful candidate shall hold the post of Registrar for a single term of five (5) years.
Condition of Service
- The remuneration and other conditions of service are as obtainable in Federal Universities in Nigeria and as may be determined from time to time by the University Governing Council.
