We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Financial Accountant

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Full Time
Work Schedule: Full-time position with occasional evenings and weekends depending on event schedules.

Job Description

  • As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in managing our financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting our strategic goals.
  • You will work closely with various departments to provide insightful financial analysis, maintain rigorous financial controls, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and accounts payable/receivable.
  • Develop and monitor budgets for various events, ensuring adherence to financial targets and identifying cost-saving opportunities.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during audits and ensure compliance with all accounting policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for management, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other departments to manage event-specific financials and resolve any discrepancies.
  • Monitor cash flow and manage financial risks associated with inventories, event planning and execution.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA designation is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial accounting or a similar role, preferably within the event or hospitalityindustry.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting processes.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across various teams.

Salary
N200,000 monthly.
