The Place is a fast growing, world class, and dynamic, multi-billion Nigerian conglomerates, established and managed by a team of professionals with decades of management consulting and accounting experience/ training from Arthur Andersen (now KPMG in Nigeria). We are a profitable player in the QSR sector of the Hospitality industry in Nigeria with great prospects and staff strength of over 1000 employees. Currently, our operations span across 17 locations in Lagos and Abuja, Nigeria, with rapid expansion plans to penetrate more locations in the short to medium term.

Job Title: Research & Development Analyst - Entry Level

Job Overview

• We require a naturally creative, versatile and open-minded analyst for our restaurant business.
• The candidate will be heavily involved in conducting research and proffering improvement solutions in varied aspects of our restaurant business.
• Ultimately, he/she will work with the operations manager to champion development of new innovative, food products while also maintaining the Company’s approved operational standards across all outlets.

Responsibilities

• Researching and developing new menu items, flavours, and products
• Improving, enhancing and monitoring existing products
• Gathering customer insights through surveys, online research, food bloggers, and other sources
• Staying up-to-date on industry trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activity

Requirement and Skills

• BSc degree with a minimum of a second-class upper rating in food science, engineering/technology, catering management or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience. Knowledge of food products is a plus.
• Passion for cooking.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Basic Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word, Power point and Excel).
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• A self-starter and a team player with high levels of drive and energy.
• Must possess a high level of integrity, determination and personal commitment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Strong thinking ability.
