Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Ikeja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We hope to fill the position with a talent who possess strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Recording of financial transactions and maintaining accurate financial records.
  • Managing all aspects of accounts payable and receivable, including processing invoices, tracking and verifying payments, following up on outstanding balances and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Performing regular bank reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of accounts and prepare financial statements and other financial reports.
  • Prepare and analyze budgets and forecasts.
  • Tax compliance, including preparing tax returns and providing support during tax audits.
  • Receiving and posting cheques payment as well as issuing payment receipts
  • Overseeing the management of petty cash, foreign exchange, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and reconciled
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders in managing logistics business, purchases and P&L of the various businesses
  • Participating in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Performing other duties and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate should hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 3+ years experience as an Account Officer
  • Proficient computer skills (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat)
  • Experience using accounting software, such as Quickbooks
  • Prior experience working with financial accounts
  • Strong financial and critical reasoning skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal financial regulations.

Salary
N150,000 - N200,000 Monthly.
