Job Title: NGO Programs Coordinator

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Desceription

  • We are looking for an NGO Program Coordinator will be responsible for planning, implementing, and overseeing NGO projects and initiatives in alignment with the organization's mission.
  • This position involves collaborating with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure program success and efficiency.
  • The role also includes monitoring progress, evaluating impact, and making recommendations for program improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Program Management:

  • Plan, organize, and oversee program activities in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Assist in the development of detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets.
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Coordinate activities across different projects and teams to ensure alignment with objectives.

Monitoring and Evaluation:

  • Monitor and evaluate the progress and impact of programs.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on program status, challenges, and successes.
  • Collect and analyze data to inform decision-making and improve future programming.

Team Coordination:

  • Work closely with field teams, volunteers, and other departments to ensure smooth program delivery.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain relationships with donors, partners, community members, and other stakeholders.
  • Represent the NGO at meetings, events, and forums as required.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for program-related inquiries and communications.

Budget Management:

  • Assist in budget preparation and ensure programs operate within the allocated budget.
  • Monitor expenditures and ensure proper financial controls are in place.

Proposal and Grant Writing:

  • Contribute to the development of funding proposals and grant applications.
  • Collaborate with the fundraising team to identify new funding opportunities for programs.

Qualifications and Skills
Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences, International Development, Project Management, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in program coordination, project management, or a related role in an NGO setting.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation and working with diverse stakeholders.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
