Job Title: X-ray Technician
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full Time
Reports to: Radiology Department Manager
Job Description
- The X-ray Technician performs diagnostic imaging examinations, including X-rays, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
- The technician operates X-ray equipment, positions patients, and captures high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate X-ray equipment to produce high-quality images
- Position patients correctly for X-ray examinations
- Follow radiation safety guidelines to minimize exposure
- Develop and process X-ray images
- Maintain patient records and examination data
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals
- Follow departmental policies and procedures
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities
- Maintain equipment and supplies.
Requirements
- Certificate in radiologic technology
- State licensure (where required)
- Basic life support (BLS) certification
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- Ability to lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds)
- Familiarity with digital radiography and PACS systems.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with computed tomography (CT) or mammography
- Knowledge of electronic medical records (EMRs)
- Bilingual or multilingual skills.
Salary
N45,000 - N60,000 monthly.
