The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA) is an international non-profit agricultural research-for-development (R4D) organization established in 1967, governed by a Board of Trustees, and a member of the CGIAR Consortium. Job Title: Driver I

Recruitment Type: National (1-year renewable contract)
Position/Responsibilities
- Drive AfricaYam project staff, visiting partners, short-time consultants and other staff;
- Ensure kitting (tools, medical box, and accessories) are in good condition and vehicles are clean at all times;
- Carry out routine vehicle maintenance checks (cleaning of inside and outside, daily/regular check-up of the engine oil level, the battery and the air filter etc.)
- Record trip details in the vehicle logbook including filling of the monthly time sheet;
- Airport pickup and transfer of project staff and related stakeholders;
- Ensure courteous and prompt attention to passengers' needs while being conveyed;
- Ensure safety of vehicle and passengers property Perform all other related duties as may be assigned by the supervisor.
Qualification, Experience and Skills
- O’Level’s certificate with Minimum of three (3) years professional driving experience preferably with a reputable organization.
The ideal candidate must:
- Be familiar with Nigeria and west Arica Road.
- Have good communication skill.
