St. Dominic Catholic Hospital is a 64 bed hospital located in Ogungbade off New Ife road Ibadan. St Dominic Catholic Hospital is the vision of Dominican Sisters of St Catherine of Siena (Italy). We offer various medical services such as: General medicine, internal medicine, O & G, Laboratory, Radiology, to mention just a few. The hospital is run in collaboration with foreign partners. We are registered and licensed by the Corporate Affairs Commission and the Ministry of Health. Also, we are accredited by the NHIS as both primary and secondary health care providers.
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Pharmacy Technician
Location: Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports to: Pharmacist or Pharmacy Manager
Job Summary
- Assists licensed pharmacists with dispensing medications, processing prescriptions, and providing excellent customer service.
- Maintains accurate records, manages inventory, and supports pharmacy operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently
- Assist with medication dispensing and preparation
- Maintain patient records and confidential information
- Manage inventory and stock supplies
- Operate cash register and process transactions
- Communicate with patients, pharmacists, and healthcare professionals
- Follow pharmacy policies and procedures
- Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities
Job Requirements
- Diploma in Pharmacy or equivalent
- Completion of a pharmacy technician training program
- Certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have:
- Experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting
- Knowledge of pharmacy software and automation systems
- Bilingual or multilingual skills.
Salary
N40,000 - N55,000 monthly.
