We are a Nigerian-based manufacturing company that specializes in plastics and nylon packaging materials production. We produce high-quality polythene bags from 100 percent recycled LDPE and HDPE. We produce in commercial and retail quantity in deference sizes and thickness with all various gadget and industrial equipment.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Account Officer

Location: Jericho - Ibadan, Oyo
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Account Officer to join our team.
  • The Account Officer will play a key role in managing the company’s financial processes, including handling accounts, transactions, budgeting, and reporting.
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a solid understanding of accounting systems, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reports To: Account Manager

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.
  • Process invoices, payments, and receipts in a timely manner.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage general ledger accounts.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial close processes.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns and statutory filings.
  • Manage petty cash, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Monitor and report on cash flow and financial position.
  • Work closely with the account team and other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in finance or accounting roles.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage) and MS Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Student member of ACCA, ICAN etc. (Added advantage).
  • Added Advantage (experience in the manufacturing sector).
