Bursar at Lighthouse University

Lighthouse University is owned by Gospel Light International Ministries (a.k.a. New Covenant Gospel Church) and was recently granted operational license by the National Universities Commission (NUC). The vision of Lighthouse University is to be a hands-on institution providing technological and management solutions as well as a lighthouse of moral and spiritual development.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Bursar

Location: Evbuobanosa, Benin - Edo

Responsibilities 

• The Bursar of the University shall be the head of the Finance Department of the University and shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the administration and control of the financial affairs of the University.
• The Bursar shall advise the Council, Vice-Chancellor, Committees, Deans, and other officers of the University on financial matters.
• The Bursar must ensure the correct and timely preparation of financial statements and accounts of the University and their submission to the Vice-Chancellor, Council, and Committees.
• The Bursar must ensure the execution of the annual audits of the University's accounts in an efficient and effective manner.

Requirements

• Applicants must hold a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with specialized computer skills and shall possess professionally recognized accounting qualifications;
• He/She must be a Chartered Accountant with at least fifteen (15) years of cognate post-qualification experience.
• Possession of postgraduate degrees will be an added advantage.
