Job Title: Professor (Basic Clinical Sciences and Clinical Sciences)

Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description
We require Professors in the following areas of specialty:

  • Anatomic Pathology
  • Chemical Pathology
  • Community Medicine
  • Haematology and Blood Transfusion
  • Internal Medicine
  • Medical Microbiology / Parasitology
  • Obstetrics and Gynaecology
  • Paediatrics and Child Health
  • Surgery.

Qualifications

  • Candidate should be a Professor in a University with at least ten (10) years teaching experience or a Reader with three (3) years cognate experience on the post qualifying for professorial assessment, and possess MBBS plus at least one of the following qualifications: FWACP, FNMCOG, FNMCP, FNMCS, FWACS or equivalent qualifications registerable with Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) with at least ten (10) years University teaching and research experience in the relevant discipline.
  • A Ph.D degree in the area of specialty will be an added advantage.
  • Candidate should also have a good record of scholarly publications of at least thirty-five (35) publications in reputable journals or H-Index: 5 and 1-index: 3.
  • Candidate should have adequate administrative experience.
  • Qualifications in Medical Education would be an added advantage.

Condition of Service
Salary and allowance is at enhanced levels. Other conditions of service are as contained in the Human Resource Policy Document of the University.
