Job Title: Lecturer I (Basic Clinical Sciences and Clinical Sciences)
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Job Description
We require Lecturers in the following areas of specialty:
- Anatomic Pathology
- Chemical Pathology
- Community Medicine
- Haematology and Blood Transfusion
- Internal Medicine
- Medical Microbiology / Parasitology
- Obstetrics and Gynaecology
- Paediatrics and Child Health
- Surgery.
Qualifications
- Candidate should possess an MBBS plus at least one of the following qualifications: FWACP, FNMCOG, FNMCP, FNMCS, FWACS or equivalent qualifications registerable with Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) with at least five (5) years of teaching and research experience in the relevant areas in a University.
- A Ph.D degree in the area of specialty will be an added advantage.
- Candidate should have been a Lecturer II for at least three (3) years and possess a good record of scholarly publications of at least ten (10) publications in reputable journals or H-Index: 1 and 1-index: 0.
- Qualifications in Medical Education would be an added advantage in all the positions.
Condition of Service
Salary and allowance is at enhanced levels. Other conditions of service are as contained in the Human Resource Policy Document of the University.
