GBC Professional Services - Our client, an Investment Company based in Lagos Island, Lagos State, is recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Finance Manager

Location: Lagos Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop financial strategies, forecasts and budgets to ensure the company’s financial health.
• Oversee the preparation and monitoring of budgets, ensuring spending aligns with the financial goals.
• Prepare financial statements, reports and summaries for management, stakeholders and regulatory bodies.
• Monitor and manage cashflow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
• Identify financial risks and implement mitigation strategies.
• Ensure the company adheres to relevant financial laws, regulations and accounting standards.
• Analyze and control operational costs, finding ways to improve efficiency and profitability.

Education and Experience

• A Bachelor's Degree or Higher National Diploma in Accounting or related discipline from a reputable educational institution
• Must be a Chartered Accountant
• Proven experience in similar position is required
• Proven competence in bookkeeping, accounting and financial analysis
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills
• Strong interpersonal skills to lead and motivate a diverse team
• Strong problem-solving abilities to address challenges and emergencies
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills
• Must think independently to make decisions under pressure.
