The Posh Oak Academy is a new Pre-schoolstrategically located opposite African First Ladies Peace mission building at Abogo Largerma Street off constitution Avenue Central Business District Abuja. We are commited to raising well-rounded children who will consistently evolve until they become the best versions of themselves. Our rich curriculum is a perfect blend of the existing British, Montessori, American and Nigerian curricula

We are starting off with two classes: Mustard class for 2-3 years olds & The Palms class for 3-4 year olds. Our preschool is equipped with kidsize accessories (e.g. Sinks, WCs, baths etc) to give the kids independence while developing their hygiene skills as well as other skills that will set the tone for the rest of their lives.

Job Summary

  • Responsible for creating a positive and engaging learning environment for pupils. This role involves planning, delivering, and assessing lessons that cater to a diverse range of learning needs while fostering the academic, social, and emotional development of each child.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement engaging, hands-on lesson plans that cater to the diverse learning styles and developmental needs of pupils.
  • Teach core academic subjects using various instructional methods and educational resources.
  • Incorporate activities that promote physical, emotional, and social development, including field trips.
  • Assess students' progress through regular formative and summative evaluations, and provide timely feedback to help them improve.
  • Maintain detailed records of student performance, attendance, and any behavioral or developmental concerns.
  • Foster positive relationships with parents/guardians and communicate regularly about their child's academic and social-emotional progress.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay up-to-date with the latest teaching methodologies, curriculum standards, and educational technologies.
  • Contribute to the overall growth and enrichment of the school community through extracurricular activities, school events, and community outreach programs.
