We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: Abuja (FCT)

Job Summary

• The ideal candidate will also possess strong curriculum development skills to ensure our programs align with the highest standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Work under the guidance and supervision of the Teacher and Head Teacher
• Participate in curriculum development and the preparation of lesson plans in accordance with the curriculum objectives to achieve learning goals and supporting children's learning
• Assist class teacher in the whole observation, assessment and planning cycle including recordkeeping duties associated with the classroom including attendance and grade calculation
• Implement agreed range of activities with children, either within or outside of the classroom
• Manage/prepare resources to support an enabling learning environment, both indoors and outdoors
• Assist teachers with lesson preparation by getting materials ready and setting up equipment.
• Collaborate with Class Teachers to recognize issues students are facing and recommend solutions.
• Oversee students during non-classroom times including in-between classes, during lunch, break and on field excursions.
• Set up equipment and helping to prepare the classroom for lessons, tidying up afterward and helping with displays.
• Enforce school and class rules to help teach students proper behaviour.
