Job Description
- We are seeking an experienced and fashion-forward Women's Wear Retail Buyer to join our team.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for selecting and purchasing merchandise that meets our company's sales and profit goals, while also staying on top of the latest fashion trends.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct market research to identify trends, analyze sales data, and determine product needs
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers
- Negotiate prices, delivery terms, and product assortments with vendors
- Create and manage product budgets, sales forecasts, and inventory plans
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and visual merchandising
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activity, and consumer behavior
- Travel to trade shows, fashion shows, and vendor meetings as needed
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience in retail buying, preferably in women's wear
- Strong fashion sense and knowledge of current trends
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
