Job Title: KP / Young Persons Services Assistant
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Duties and Responsibilities
- The incumbent will implement prevention, risk reduction and adherence treatment services for Key Population.
- Job holder will manage the unit responsible for identifying and working with Key Population groups to carry out outreaches and work closely with the PSO (HTS) to ensure the KPs have access to HTS.
- The incumbent will also ensure behavioral maintenance activities are implemented among the KP groups.
- He/She will support the implementation of approaches in sexual transmission prevention, HIV Testing and Counseling, PHDP and partner notification services among Key populations.
- The role also involves provision of support the process of developing/reviewing and adapting HIV Testing Services, Safe and Ethical Index Testing services, HIV Self-Testing (HIVST), training curricula and other documents to meet appropriate international, regional protocols, and National standards and support the organization in the maintenance of strong collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders of project including community animators, CDC, MOHs, state institutions, and other partners working with Key population.
- Furthermore, he/she will support the OVC team by ensuring a strong linkage to CBOs who provide services for Key Population and ensure all children of KPs are enrolled into the OVC Program.
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Health Sciences, and Nursing required. Master’s in relevant field is preferred
- At least 2 years’ experience training community health workers and/or CBOs in HIV interventions for key and vulnerable populations
- Experience building capacity at individual and organizational levels
- Skilled in at least two or more of the following technical areas: strengthening service delivery programs, performance and quality improvement, psychosocial support, monitoring and evaluation • Experience in Key Population programming.
