We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Acoustic / Lead Guitar Instructor

Location: Lagos

Job Summary

  • The Lead/Acoustic Guitar Teacher is responsible for providing high-quality guitar instruction to students of all ages and skill levels.
  • This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment.
  • The teacher will also lead group classes and workshops, and may participate in school performances and events.

Key Responsibilities
Instruction:

  • Provide individual and group guitar lessons, focusing on both lead and acoustic guitar techniques.
  • Teach various music styles, including classical, jazz, rock, pop, and folk.

Student Assessment:

  • Evaluate and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and guidance.
  • Prepare students for performances, exams, and auditions.

Curriculum Development:

  • Design and update curriculum to keep lessons engaging and relevant, incorporating music theory, sight-reading, and improvisation into lessons.

Performance and Events:

  • Organize and lead student performances and recitals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching guitar to students of various ages and skill levels.
  • Proficiency in both lead and acoustic guitar.
  • Ability to read and teach both conventional Music Notation and Guitar Tabs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, dedication, and a passion for teaching music.
