Job Summary

• The bank seeks a qualified and competent individual to fill an executive role.  

Job Description

• The role will be responsible for establishing the bank’s governance framework and strategic directives.
• It will also steer the bank towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, legal and ethical financial management policies. 

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure the bank adheres to regulatory requirements and maintains high standards of corporate governance. 
• Oversee the performance of the executive management team.  
• Provide independent and objective advice on the bank’s strategic plans and initiatives. 
• Ensure that the bank has effective risk management policies and practices in place. 

Required Experience and Capabilities

• First degree in any discipline
• MBA or relevant Master’s degree
• Relevant professional qualifications (i.e. ACIB, CFA, CIS, ACA, FCA, etc.)
• Minimum of 20 years’ cognate professional experience or management experience acquired both domestically and internationally.
• Good knowledge of banking operations and relevant laws and regulations guiding the financial services industry.
• Well versed in interpreting financial statements  
• Sound understanding of national and international business  
• Prior board experience is an added advantage.
