Job Title: Commercial Associate - Agro

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Procurement Initiatives: Develop and implement strategies for the direct procurement of agro commodities, enhancing our supply chain's resilience and cost efficiency.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers, aggregators, and other key partners in the agro supply chain, securing access to premium-quality commodities.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market research to understand trends, demand, and competitive pricing, informing strategic decisions.
  • Supply Chain Collaboration: Coordinate with logistics and quality assurance teams to ensure the smooth transport of commodities, adhering to quality standards.
  • Sustainable Practices: Negotiate with suppliers and clients to establish contracts that emphasize sustainability, ensuring mutually beneficial terms.
  • Operational Excellence: Use data analytics to identify supply chain optimizations, streamlining operations for greater efficiency.
  • Compliance and Standards: Ensure all operations comply with local and international regulatory requirements, maintaining the highest ethical standards.

Qualifications
Education:

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Business, Agriculture, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Relevant Experience: 5 - 7 years in the agro commodities sector, with a proven track record of contributing to successful procurement and supply chain management.
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute procurement strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Relationship Management: Strong skills in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the supply chain.
  • Market Insight: Deep understanding of market dynamics, with the ability to analyze and leverage market data for strategic advantage.
  • Leadership and Collaboration: Effective at working within cross-functional teams, demonstrating leadership and fostering a collaborative environment.
