Job Title: Import and Export Manager

Location: Lagos

Summary of Job Function

• As Import and Export Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring shipments to ensure the compliance of regulation.
• Maintain customer relations and participate in the organization’s sales activities.
• Ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of imports and exports.

Responsibilities

• Manage the functions of Agents assigning daily tasks, establishing, or adjusting work procedures to meet changing demands, ensuring optimum efficiency of all agent activities.
• Monitoring the shipments to ensure the compliance of regulation
• Maintenance of customer relations and participation in the organization's sales activities
• Assessment of new marketing and sales opportunities as well as presentation of those estimations to the respective managements
• Ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of imports and exports
• Demonstrates in depth knowledge of customer’s needs.
• Monitors communications with assigned customers, responds promptly to customer requirements, concerns and issues and resolves issues related to all irregularities that interfere with the timely delivery of the customer’s product.
• Implements and follows all security measures including government required and local security programs.
• Develop internal SOPs and KPIs for the efficient management of inbound freight including timely recovery and hand over to brokers.
• Work with and supervise members remotely.

Qualification, Knowledge, Skills & Experience

• Degree in Marketing, Business, Finance or any other related field
• At least 7 years of practical experience in a similar position
• Must possess excellent customer service skills with the ability to grasp extensive knowledge while dealing with a variety of people.
• Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.
• Good understanding of sales and marketing strategies
• Well-developed communicational skills and a customer orientation
• Knowledge about budget management, international trade and taxations
• Ability to easily comprehend and organize shipment processes
• Ability to manage report on revenue generation, profit, and loss.
• Must have knowledge of export administration regulations and regulations.

Salary
N500,000 Monthly (Negotiable).
