Job Title :  Stores Supervisor
Location: Apapa, Lagos
 
Role Summary:
The Purpose of the stores is to maintain adequate and smooth flow of parts and materials to support the efficient operation of the container terminal from all the designated aspect of the store from data collection analysis to inventory management. This position reports to Store Manager.
 
Resonsibilities:
  • Receive and execute instructions and decisions from the Store Manager.
  • Assist in timely reconciliation of general ledger accounts related to stores.
  • Working knowledge of the handling and storage of engineering materials, electronic equipment and dangerous goods.
  • Familiarity with various types of spare parts and their application.
  • Familiarity with various types of safety gear and their application.
  • Participate together with the Managers, Supervisors and Foremen in development of Preventive Maintenance Plans and schedules based on Original Equipment Manufacturer’s recommendations and local operational conditions.
  • Participate together with the Maintenance Planner in maintenance of Computerized Maintenance Management System providing timely and accurate data.
  • Review forward schedule for the identification of supply requirements before problems arise.
  • Receive unused parts from work areas, place back in stores or return to vendor as required.
  • Participate in the recruitment of staff for the Store and ensure that they are adequately trained.
  • Monitor and appraise the performance of staff supervised, to ensure Company expectations are met and that the required follow-up actions are taken.
  • Carry out audits of Stores internally. Produce related audit reports, evaluate findings and evaluate improvements to be implemented into the maintenance management system.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Planning and Engineering to establish specifications and to monitor quality and performance of stocks services.
  • Responsible for the supervision of stock item receipts, Issuance, stocking, posting of items collected and delivered at the appropriate time.
  • Ensure parts and consumables are made available for the uninterrupted Preventative Maintenance.
  • Plan training in co-operation with the Technical Manager to ensure staff adequately trained;
  • Ensure that APMT Apapa Health, Safety & Environment policy and procedures are observed as well as all relevant safety legislation and the provisions of the relevantGovernment of Nigeria Health and Safety & Environmental Acts.
  • Stores Supervisor at APMATL is responsible for Spare Parts and Material Stock, Fuel Stock (Diesel and LNG or other), Oil and Lubricants Storage, Tire Storage, Fuel Tankers and warehouse handling equipment such as pallet trucks.
 
 
Qualifications:
  • B.sc/HND Administration
  • Computer Literacy
  • 2 years experience
  • Self motivated
