Job Title: Motor Vehicle Mechanic
Location: Lagos
Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a fully qualified Motor Vehicle Mechanic for our client. For this role you need to be Fully Qualified, have a strong background within the workshop and have a good knowledge of vehicle parts.
Job Duties
- Replacement of complete engine assembly
- Gearbox replacement
- Radiator replacement
- Subframe replacement
- Suspension replacement
- Replacement of brake components
- Repair vehicles and make routine maintenance checks to ensure that a vehicle is running perfectly
- Being able to work with confidence on own initiative and as part of a team
- To maintain a clean workshop
- To be able to work on your own initiative
- Repairing and servicing vehicle booked into the workshop
- Diagnosing faults on vehicles
- Carrying out warranty work internal and retail
- Stripping, fitting and replacing components on vehicles
- Dealing with customer queries and diagnosing faults
- Advise Workshop Controller on any further faults where authority will need to be gained prior to work going ahead
- Working to deadlines to ensure that work is completed on time.
Skills:
- Extensive experience in vehicle repair, maintenance, testing
- Comprehensive experience in mechanical repair from engine replacement to torque checks
- Completing job cards and working to meet targets and deadlines.
- Competent in the service and repair of vehicles using the latest diagnostic equipment.
- Working to main dealer standard as part of an aftersales team.
- Being able to work alone.
- Having a suitable fitness level.
- Being able to follow instructions.
- Having excellent knowledge about motor technology.
- Being methodical and organised.
- Having good concentration.
- Being able to work to strict deadlines.
- Having strong interest in motor vehicles.
- Experience working in a busy workshop environment.
- Skilled in all areas of mechanical diagnostics.
- Ability to make repairs on all makes and models of motor vehicles.
