Job Description
- To ensure effective management of the firm’s accounting and control function across the firm covering payables, receivables, tax, cost and management accounting; aimed at achieving reliable and accurate financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Co-coordinates inter-dependent activities within the accounting function to ensure that the set goals, objectives and business strategy of the firm are achieved.
- Provides input to the firm s budgetary process and the allocation of resources to the various activities and projects of the firm.
- Prepares and submits in a timely manner, accurate financial reports to management such as accounts receivables and payables aging analysis, reconciliation statements, cash flows etc., and submits same to the Director of Operations for final approval and management decision.
- Manages the monthly payroll computation and prepares the schedule for reviews and approvals.
- Protects firm’s value by keeping information confidential.
Requirements
- Minimum of Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or any related discipline
- Relevant professional certifications, e.g. CFA, ICAN, ACCA or its equivalent
- Experience of statutory financial reporting and knowledge of accounting packages and IFRS
- Minimum of 7-10 years relevant post NYSC experience’.
- Aged 35 years and above
