Perfection Motor, a subsidiary of the Lee Group of Companies, was established in partnership with FAW China and holds exclusive rights to market FAW heavy-duty trucks in Nigeria. Since our founding in 2013, we have made significant progress in preparing to serve the market. This includes establishing our head office, a fully equipped workshop, a parts department, and an SKD assembly plant in Ikeja.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Chef

Description 

• We are looking for a dedicated chef to prepare high-quality meals in accordance with food health and safety regulations and company standards. The chef’s responsibilities include following instructions relating to the timely preparation of food orders, organizing workstations, and assisting other cooks as needed. You should also be able to ensure that the refrigerators and storerooms are kept clean and tidy.
• To be successful in this role as a chef, you should be able to use various cooking techniques and methods to prepare meals that meet our Managements’ expectations. Ultimately, a top-notch chef should be able to handle multiple food orders without compromising on quality.

Cook Responsibilities

• Preparing and assembling ingredients for menu items.
• Preparing high-quality meals and food items according to company recipes.
• Storing excess food at the correct temperature to avoid spoilage.
• Ensuring that food portions and food presentation meet company standards.
• Monitoring supplies and re-ordering stock as needed.
• Ensuring that cooking utensils are clean before each use.
• Cleaning and sterilizing food preparation areas.
• Assisting other cooks to ensure that food orders are completed in a timely manner.
• Efficiently resolving problems with Employer’s orders.
• Ensuring that food health and safety regulations are followed
• Maintain good relationship with Employers and suppliers (resolving issues with suppliers if any arises)
• Strictly follow and adhere to the budget of the employer, by ensuring that supplies and/or orders are in line with the budget and supervising food and labor cost(s)
• Make sure that kitchen safety measures are met and that sanitation practices are carried out to the letter
• Create new methods and recipes in preparation of meal
• Maintain work schedule for kitchen staff so as to ensure a smooth flow of activities in the kitchen
• Make sure that meal is prepared and served to management in a timely manner
• Create menus that tend to suit the need of employers, and in some cases suggest new dishes to employer.

Cook Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• ServSafe food handling certification is preferred.
• Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques.
• Proven experience working as a Cook.
• The ability to follow recipes.
• The ability to work in a team.
• The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• A respectable knowledge of food handling and environmental sanitation standards
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts
• Any other form of certification in catering would be of added advantage
• At least 3 years of work experience as a chef in any good and reputable restaurant
• A minimum of 1 year in a chef-supervisory role.

Salary
N80,000 - N100,000 monthly.
