We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Accounts and Operations Officer

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Responsible for overseeing all the financial/accounting operations of the company.
  • Regularly provide accurate information on the financial position, liquidity, and cash flow of the business, while ensuring that all laws and regulations are followed precisely.
  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records and ensure the company’s accounts are up-to-date and in compliance with all applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitate and coordinate the preparation of year-end closing accounting and financial statements.
  • Ensure that the company’s fixed assets and inventory records are updated regularly.
  • Conduct an analytical review of the business’ monthly operating results.
  • Ensure proper documentation of all financial information and documents by maintaining an orderly and easy retrieval & filing system.
  • Ensure timely bank payments & disbursement of all transactions; while ensuring proper verification, allocation, posting, and reconciling of entries per transaction.
  • Carry out all statutory and tax computations for filing with appropriate government authorities. Stay
  • updated on changes in tax laws and ensure compliance.
  • Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity as well as carry out periodic audits on all the company’s financial transactions and documents.
  • Coordinate and provide all necessary documentation for external audits; work closely with auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.
  • Responsible for preparing annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Ensure efficient and well-documented financial policies and procedures to guide procurement, approval limits, and other financial transaction activities.
  • Liaise regularly with all major owners of cost centres such as Admin and IT to ensure efficiency of operations and cost efficiency.

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess Bachelor's Degrees with 2 - 4 years relevant work experience.
