We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Boiler Operator

Location: Keffi, Nasarawa
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Purpose

• The Boiler Operator is to generate high-quality steam from both LPFO boiler and Firewood boiler as per Standard Operating Procedure.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Operate, control and adjust manual and automatic controls to either increase or decrease feed water to the boiler for maintenance of proper and safe water level in the boiler drum.
• Obtain and maintain maximum boiler combustion efficiency.
• Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure incoming water for boiler operators meets required standards.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, collaborating with maintenance teams when necessary.
• Maintain accurate record of plant operational metrics as per checklist
• Provide detailed shift reports to ensure smooth transitions between operators.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, ensuring the working environment.
• Must be able to synergize with other departments to achieve set goals.
• Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
• Accountability for assigned work with attention to detail is a must.

Education and Experience

• Minimum of OND in Engineering (Electrical, Production, or industrial Engineering, or related field).
• Proven experience of 3-5 years as a Boiler Operator or similar role in a soybean processing plant.
• Age Requirement: 23-35 Years

Required Skills / Abilities:

• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Good teaming skills.
• Strong operational knowledge of both LPFO and Firewood boiler.
• Baseline problem analysis and solving skills.
• Creativity and an ability to think out of the box.
• Robust experience in troubleshooting, motor checks & repairs
• Should be knowledgeable on general maintenance mechanics.
• Should have basic electrical knowledge and troubleshooting.
• Strong attention to details to detail and a commitment to quality.
