Job Title: Head Baker

Location: Lekki Phase 1, Lagos

Job Summary 

• We are looking to hire a Head Baker for their new restaurant in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos.
• The Head Baker will be responsible for leading the bakery team, creating new recipes, ensuring consistent product quality, and overseeing the daily production of all baked goods.
• They will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and efficient working environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee the production of bread, pastries, cakes, and other baked goods for the restaurant.
• Lead and supervise the bakery team, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency.
• Manage inventory, order baking supplies, and coordinate with suppliers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery area in compliance with food safety regulations.
• Experiment with and introduce new recipes to enhance the restaurant's menu.
• Ensure all baked goods meet quality and presentation standards before service.
• Train and mentor junior bakers and kitchen staff.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of using commercial baking equipment.
• Team Leadership, training and supervision.
• Communication, Planning & Coordination Skills.
• Inventory management & Vendor Relations.
