Job Title: Chief Security Officer (CSO), Okpella Plant

Location: Okpella, Edo
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Summary

  • The Chief Security Officer (CSO) at Dangote Group will be responsible for identifying potential security risks, developing robust security policies, and implementing comprehensive security programs to protect the organization's assets, personnel, and reputation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure that security measures comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
  • Manage security identification, mapping and proactive engagements with stakeholders
  • Support the development and implementation of security measures in line with DCP policies.
  • Assist in tracking departmental budgets and expenditures.
  • Manage travel arrangements, including itineraries and accommodations for department staff.
  • Facilitate communication within the department and with other departments as necessary.
  • Order and maintain office supplies and equipment.
  • Support the onboarding process for new employees by ensuring all necessary documentation is completed.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the security manager.

Education and Qualifications

  • Rank of Captain in the Army
  • Bachelor’s degree Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in security management.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
  • Familiarity with report writing
  • Excellent surveillance and observation skills
  • Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
  • Trained in First Aid/BLS and self-defense
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing security policies and procedures.
  • Extensive knowledge of security and risk management practices, including incident response and investigations.
  • Experience in managing security operations in a large organization or corporate environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse workforce.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
