Job Title: Legal Officer

Job Description

• Company secretarial functions: Attend board and board related meetings, Prepare meeting minutes and reports; assist in maintaining corporate governance.
• Contracts and Contract Management Tool Functions: Assist in drafting and reviewing contracts; Manage Qore’s contract management tool; represent Qore in client meetings.
• Internal Legal Functions: Liaise with existing external counsel; Attend meetings and dispute resolution processes; Review legal processes prepared by external counsel; Organize Qore’s witnesses’ co-operation; Liaise with parent and affiliate companies for overlapping responsibilities.
• Advisory Functions: Review applicable regulations and policies and provide summary opinions, business impacts and advisory based on changes/updates to same; Assist in providing legal advisory to all departments; Assist in IP assets protection.
• Regulatory Compliance Functions: Assist in managing and interfacing with regulators to ensure regulatory compliance for the business; assist in ensuring data protection regulations compliance.
• Risk Management: Procure updates to Qore’s risk register and generate summary reports.

Requirements

• LLB & BL in Law, with 1-2 years post call experience in a top tier commercial law firm, banking or financial technology industry
• Contract drafting and review skills 
• Negotiation and dispute resolution skills 
• Planning, organization, & problem-solving skills 
• Commercial awareness.
