Project Description
- The trainee is required to provide petroleum engineering assistance to work under the supervision of the Senior Engineer responsible for field management and future opportunity development as part of an integrated depletion planning framework.
- This is a development role, but the successful candidate will be asked to contribute to the delivery of the team from day one and will be provided instruction, training guidance and coaching to develop the desired petroleum engineering skills.
Job Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will be an energetic, goal oriented individual with a desire to learn and progress.
- They will also develop their skills as an engineer over a two year structured “challenge” programme.
- With assistance from the more senior members in the team, support and effectively manage the base production including following the Dangote base management common process to support production forecast, production optimization, and surveillance and well work requirements.
Desired Qualification/Preferred Competencies
- Should be a holder of either B.Sc, M.Sc and MEng degree in Petroleum Engineering Well-developed problem solving abilities.
- Able to reach a conclusion from an incomplete dataset.Someone who has strong drive and determination and is willing to learn.
- Excellent Interpersonal skill and a team player.
- Not more than two years work experience.
