We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Debt Recovery Officer

Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities

  • Negotiate repayment plans on outstanding debt from customers..
  • Meet key performance indicators as outlined by management.
  • Meet expected Quality and Compliance standards
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate with a variety of customers in various financial situations and other oganisations.
  • Ability to investigate and obtain contact information
  • Retrieving information and verifying on debtors employment
  • Preparing collection letters and paperwork for both legal and non-legal case files
  • Making the first initial determination of the best course of action on collecting a debt
  • Process payments on collection cases
  • Fill out and prepare court summons for the Collections Manager to sign
  • Assigning and coordination of files to Third Party Collectors
  • To ensure debtors setup and maintain non-legal payment plans
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Legal or Business field (Banking/Finance, Accounting, Economics, etc.) – 1st Class or 2nd Upper
  • 2 or more years of work experience in corporate restructuring, investment banking, commercial banking, and/or consulting or corporate positions with a financial or accounting focus.
  • Experience in Excel financial modeling
  • Basic understanding of corporate finance.

Other Requirements:

  • Capable of performing tasks using MS office applications like MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint
  • Selling and Negotiation Skills.
