Job Title: Protection Officer

Job Description

• The Protection Officer will be responsible for ensuring the safety and dignity of vulnerable individuals, including women, children, and persons with disabilities.
• The role includes providing psychosocial support and ensuring adherence to protection standards.

Responsibilities

• Conduct protection assessments and identify vulnerable individuals.
• Develop and implement protection strategies in line with YPHO’s framework.
• Provide case management services, including referrals for GBV and child protection.
• Coordinate with other agencies and stakeholders to ensure integrated protection services.
• Train and supervise community-based protection volunteers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in social work, law, or psychology.
• 3+ years of experience in protection, preferably in a humanitarian context.
• Familiarity with child protection, GBV, and psychosocial support frameworks.
• Strong advocacy and negotiation skills.
