Job Title: Principal Technical Expert - Quality and Control

Location: Lekki, Lagos
Employment Type: Contract

Key Responsibilities

• Controlling various activities for hot insulation works including review of project specifications, measuring necessary materials and supplies as well as scrutinizing applied insulation
• Gathering method statement, work procedures, quality plan ITP, safety plan and HSE risk hazard analysis as well as contributing for
• Coating, hot insulation of vessels/piping/structural steel/equipment as per requirement
• Overseeing all the activities of the workers engaged for insulating material to the exposed surfaces of the equipment such as boilers, vessels, exchangers, air ducts or pipes
• Writing and succumbing daily activities and construction progress to section manager as well as approving for project schedule, communicating with other department personnel for surveillance inspection for ongoing works
• Linking with subcontractor to provide sufficient manpower and equipment resource as well as initiating process audit to ensure implementation of correct procedures and drawings
• Supporting subcontractors for technical advice and ensuring that the drawings & material are in prior to start the work, certifying material storage 

Job Specification

• Shall have a recognized B.Sc. Degree in engineering or the sciences with at least 10 years relevant experience in quality management in an engineering company.
• Experience    in preparation/implementation of an ISO 9001 based QMS.
• Able to identify and manage mitigation for Quality risks
• Able to conduct verification exercise as contained in   Quality risk-based verification strategy
• He/she shall be an IRCA (or equivalent) certified Auditor.
